Daniel Mminele is a South African business leader whose career spanned banking, central banking, public policy and corporate leadership. He currently serves as Chairperson of the Nedbank Group and board member of Business Leadership South Africa and the the Youth Employment Service (YES), following senior roles including Chairperson of Alexander Forbes, Chief Executive of Absa Group, and Deputy Governor of the South African Reserve bank.
Alongside his professional career, photography has been a passion since his teenage years. For Daniel photography is the celebration of light, colour and the beauty of nature in capturing and preserving moments that will never reappear in that exact constellation. His particular affinity is for wildlife and landscapes.
Photography is also a refuge for him: time in the bush offers renewal, perspective and a way of returning to the world with fresh eyes.
He sees an interesing connection between his professional life and photography. Leadership and photography both require the ability to see the wider landscape while remaining alert to the decisive detail that can change the entire picture.
This website invites others to accompany him through some of these special journeys and offers an opportunity to acquire some of his works.
